The basics
What an AI agent is (and is not)
A chatbot talks; an agent acts. An agent has access to real data (your roster, your billing, your calendar), tools to do things (create a payment reminder, move a student, publish a poster) and a goal it answers for: no lead left behind, no overdue payment growing old.
The piece that makes it safe is called human-in-the-loop: the agent proposes and a person approves. Do I need to know AI or how to code?
No. Agents come configured by role and speak your language. Creating a custom one is a conversation: you tell it what you need and it configures itself.
Can an agent make mistakes?
It can propose something you don't want — which is why everything goes through your approval before running. What it cannot do is touch your data on its own: direct writes are blocked by design.
What do I need to use it?
