Campo De Futbol Abanto
El Abanto Club es el club de fútbol del barrio de Las Carreras, en Abanto-Zierbena (Bizkaia). Nació en 1914, cuando un grupo de jóvenes del barrio empezó a jugar los domingos con técnicos ingleses que instalaban un cable aéreo para el transporte de mineral, en un terreno próximo al actual estadio.
Su campo es El Mortuero, en Las Carreras. Fue inaugurado el 3 de junio de 1917 con un partido contra el Club Deportivo Portugalete y hoy tiene césped artificial y unas dimensiones aproximadas de 100 x 64 metros, tras las reformas realizadas en las últimas décadas.
El club compite bajo la Federación Vizcaína de Fútbol. Su primer equipo juega en la División de Honor de Vizcaya, y las fuentes consultadas describen una estructura de unos diez equipos y alrededor de 160 jugadores, desde las categorías más pequeñas hasta el equipo sénior, además de un equipo femenino fundado en 2007. Su presencia oficial activa es la cuenta de Instagram @abanto1914oficial.
