El Club Deportivo Villegas nació en 1974 por iniciativa de un grupo de amigos del entorno de la calle Villegas, en Logroño (La Rioja), y hoy es una entidad de fútbol base con equipo senior en Regional Preferente.
El club disputa sus partidos y entrena en el Complejo Deportivo Municipal de La Ribera, instalación que sustituyó al histórico campo de Madre de Dios y que fue renovada hacia 2005. Conserva un archivo fotográfico propio desde su fundación y publica anuarios con la actividad de sus equipos.
De un único equipo en 1974, el club ha crecido hasta cerca de veinte equipos repartidos por categorías: benjamín, alevín, infantil, cadete y juvenil (este último en División de Honor), además del primer equipo senior, que compite en Regional Preferente.
Cada año organiza el Torneo Villegas, una cita de fútbol base con más de 45 ediciones celebradas, consolidada como una de las referencias del calendario juvenil riojano.
