IES Villajunco es un centro pĂşblico de enseñanza secundaria situado en la calle Junco, 8, en Santander (Cantabria). Imparte EducaciĂłn Secundaria Obligatoria, con modalidad bilingĂĽe, y Bachillerato en las modalidades de Ciencias y TecnologĂa, Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales y Bachillerato General.
Además de la enseñanza reglada general, el centro imparte Enseñanzas Deportivas de RĂ©gimen Especial, la vĂa oficial en España para obtener el tĂtulo de TĂ©cnico Deportivo. En Villajunco esta formaciĂłn se concentra en disciplinas de naturaleza y medio acuático: vela, piragĂĽismo, montaña, hĂpica, espeleologĂa y salvamento y socorrismo, un catálogo poco frecuente entre los institutos de Cantabria y que convierte al centro en referencia regional para quien quiere formarse como tĂ©cnico o entrenador en estos deportes.
El instituto participa además en el programa Escuela Embajadora del Parlamento Europeo y en iniciativas de internacionalización como Global Classrooms, junto con planes propios de interculturalidad y transformación digital.
