AI-read paper match sheet and PDF match sheet in Badgie
Print Badgie's match sheet, fill it in by pen and upload a photo: the AI reads it and you review it before it is loaded. It also imports Football ISM PDF match sheets and works alongside the official RFFM, FFCV and RFAF match sheets.

Quick answer
In Badgie a match goes in without typing it twice: you download the two-page Blank match sheet (PDF) with a QR code, fill it in by pen on the bench and upload a photo with Import match sheet (web), from the coach app or by sending it to the agent. The AI reads the line-up, substitutions, goals, assists and cards, shows you what it has found along with its warnings, and nothing is saved until you confirm. It also reads Football ISM's «Ficha de Partido» PDF. When there are several sources, the federation takes precedence, then the paper sheet, then what was recorded in Badgie.

Where to find it
- Web: each team's Competition tab › Import match sheet. On each match, the printer and document icons download the Blank match sheet (PDF) or the Completed sheet (PDF).
- Coach app: match screen › Sheet › Paper sheet (Take photo and Read the sheet), with the Review the sheet screen.
- AI agent: you give it the photo or the PDF and it proposes the import for you to approve.
The paper match sheet
It has two pages. The first carries the score, half-time and formation, the list of players with shirt number, starter and cards, captain, coach, team manager and referee, and remarks. The second covers substitutions (on, off and minute), goals with assist, goal zone and header, opponent goals, penalty, own goal and injury report. If the call-up has been published, the list is the called-up players; if not, the squad, with a maximum of 24 rows («N called-up players do not fit on the sheet: the first 24 by number are printed»). Each page carries a QR code for the match and corner marks to straighten the photo.
How to fill it in (printed on every page)
- Mark a clear X inside the box.
- Large numbers, one per box.
- No crossing out: circle the error and write beside it.
- Use the shirt number, not the name.

The shirt number is the key: the reading matches each row by its printed shirt number before looking at the name. The sheet itself reminds you that it is uploaded in Competition › Import match sheet or by sending a photo to Coach on WhatsApp.
Step by step: uploading and reviewing the match sheet on the web
- In the team's Competition tab, click Import match sheet.
- Upload the file: a Football ISM PDF, another PDF with text, or one or two photos of the match sheet (JPG, PNG or HEIC), up to 12 MB, with the pages in any order.
- Choose the Squad and whether to Update the existing match or Create a new match.
- Review what has been read: score, half-time, formation, line-up, substitutions, goals, assists and cards. Warnings flag anything doubtful: two possible players, shirt number with no player, repeated minute, unsure read, impossible value dropped, unclear mark, crossed out or outside the box. An impossible minute or shirt number is dropped; it is never made up.
- For each name without a player, choose one from the squad, New record (add to the club) or Leave out. On the web, a name left unchosen is left out.
- Click Load into Cantera. Nothing is written until then.
In the coach app
In the match's Sheet tab, Take photo and Read the sheet open Review the sheet. There you resolve each name and tap Apply to the match; in the app the button stays locked while any name is still unresolved.
The match sheet and report as PDFs
- Blank match sheet (PDF): for a match not yet played, with the called-up players.
- Completed sheet (PDF): the same two-page match sheet, filled in with what has been recorded.
- Match report (PDF): the summary of the played match with the starting eleven drawn on the pitch (see the live match guide).
They can be downloaded from the match list, from the match record and from the match in the calendar.
Football ISM match sheets
If the club records its matches in Football ISM, upload the «Ficha de Partido» PDF with Import match sheet, through the app or via the agent. Badgie reads the eleven with its formation, the minutes, substitutions, goals in detail, assists and cards; it matches the names against your squad, allowing for nicknames and different spellings (if two players tie, you decide), and updates or creates the match.
Which match sheet takes precedence: federation, paper or Badgie
A match can have several sources and they all follow a single rule: federation > paper match sheet > what was recorded in Badgie. A Football ISM match sheet counts as a paper match sheet.
- Line-up, substitutions, goals and cards: the more official source replaces the less official one, never the other way round. A photo of the paper sheet does not touch what the federation has already brought in.
- What only Badgie has is kept: assists (unless the match sheet brings its own), the coach's plan, notes and the minute of a substitution that the match sheet leaves blank.
- If the official match sheet contradicts what was recorded (a different scorer, an extra card), the discrepancy is saved and the coach app shows it.
- In the app, the match states where its match sheet comes from: «Official … sheet», «Waiting for the … sheet» or «Sheet recorded in Badgie».
- Federations do not publish assists: record them on the paper match sheet or in the live match.
What players and families see
Nothing of the import process. Once the match sheet is loaded, each player sees their matches, minutes, goals, assists and cards in the app, and the match appears as played with its result.
By format
The match sheet works for 7-a-side, 8-a-side and 11-a-side football: the formation is written on the sheet and the list takes up to 24 players. For non-affiliated teams, the paper match sheet or the Football ISM PDF are the quickest way to keep stats up to date.
With the AI agent
- `import_match_sheet`: you give it the photo, PDF or text of the match sheet and the team, and it proposes the import (it can create any missing player records); the club approves it before anything is written.
- `get_match_document`: returns the match sheet (blank or completed) or the report for any match as a PDF, finding it by team, opponent, date or matchday.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if the AI misreads a shirt number?
Nothing is applied without your review. A shirt number that is not on the sheet shows up as a warning and you can correct the assignment before loading the match sheet.
Can I upload the federation's match sheet instead of Badgie's?
Yes: Import match sheet accepts a PDF with text or photos of another match sheet. Badgie's is read more reliably because it has a QR code, printed shirt numbers and boxes.
Which federations sync automatically?
The RFFM (Madrid), the FFCV (Valencian Community) and the RFAF (Andalusia). For other teams, the match goes in with the paper match sheet, Football ISM or the live match.
Why are assists missing if the team is federation-affiliated?
Because federations do not publish assists. Record them on the paper match sheet or in the live match and Badgie attaches them to the right goal.
