Receipts and payments: club Stripe, SEPA remittances, cash, Bizum, unpaid receipts and VeriFactu
How a club collects with Badgie: receipts in Invoicing, online payments through the club's own Stripe account, SEPA remittances, cash, transfer and Bizum, bank returns and unpaid receipts, payment reminders and VeriFactu invoicing.

Quick answer
In Badgie every fee or charge creates a receipt in Finance → Invoicing. You collect it through the route you choose: Stripe with the club's own account (automatic charge or payment link), SEPA direct debit in a remittance with the file for your bank, transfer/Bizum, cash or an external card terminal.
Bank returns mark receipts as unpaid, payment reminders go out only when you press Send, and Badgie is ready for VeriFactu, shown in Settings. Stripe is optional.

Where to find it
- FINANCE → Finance → Invoicing: the month's receipts, issued and still to issue.
- Remittances: Collect this month, the history and Bank returns.
- Communications: payment notices and requests to families.
- Settings: Stripe, collection routes, transfer account, automation, invoice details, tax identity, VeriFactu and email alerts.
1. Set up how you collect (Settings)
- In Settings → Card payments, press Connect Stripe if you want to take payments online: the money goes into the club's Stripe account. Without Stripe the rest of Finance keeps working.
- Under collection routes, keep only the ones you use: Stripe automatic charge, Stripe payment link, direct debit, transfer/Bizum, cash, external card terminal… Only active routes are offered across the app.
- Fill in the transfer account (holder, IBAN, reference): without it the payment-by-transfer email is not sent.
- Complete the tax identity (legal name and tax ID) so your invoices are valid.
2. Issue and review receipts (Invoicing)
Invoicing groups receipts by status → location → plan. Each row shows number, student, collection route, amount and status (pending, paid). The range summary counts receipts to issue, issued and late, and Issue the whole range issues the missing ones.
For a cash, transfer or Bizum payment, open the receipt and use Record payment. The “New this season” and “Without voided” filters help you review.
3. Collect in a remittance: SEPA, Stripe or manual
- In Remittances, press Collect this month: Badgie gathers the period's fees without a receipt and the unpaid receipts.
- Tick the receipts and press Continue.
- Choose the route: automatic charge (authorised cards), a Stripe payment link to each family, a SEPA file to upload to your bank, or manual collection.
- For SEPA, set the remittance name and the bank debit date, and decide whether receipts are marked as paid when the file is generated or when the bank pays out. You need the SEPA creditor details (IBAN and identifier) in Settings.
4. Unpaid receipts, returns and reminders
- Bank returns: upload the file your bank returns (XML pain.002 or CSV) and Badgie marks those receipts as unpaid.
- In Overview, the Overdue column shows unpaid amounts past their due date.
- Communications → Payment reminder: lists only families with an overdue receipt; tick who gets it and press Send. Nobody receives anything before that.
- In Settings → Automation you can turn on the automatic overdue reminder.
5. VeriFactu invoicing
In Settings → VeriFactu (read only) you see the mode (disabled, simulation, AEAT test or AEAT production), the tax identity, the signing certificate and the records in the chain.
In production, each invoice is declared to the Spanish tax agency (AEAT) when issued and chained to the previous one; the chain cannot be rewritten. Turning it on requires a tax identity and a valid signing certificate, and it is not switched on from this screen. To fix an invoice you issue a corrective one, by replacement or by difference (credit note), leaving the original intact.
What the family sees
In the app the family sees every receipt with its status, amount, issue and due dates, items and payments. If you collect with Stripe, they get the payment link by email.
By sport
It works the same for swimming, football, tennis, padel, golf or martial arts. Clubs with bookings or a shop see those charges as more receipts, with their own source in the Overview.
With the AI agent
The agent lists what is outstanding (list_unpaid_invoices, get_top_debtors, get_finance_snapshot) and can propose marking receipts as paid (mark_invoice_paid, mark_invoices_paid), voiding them (void_invoices) or emailing a payment reminder (send_payment_reminder). These are high-risk actions: you approve them unless Finance delegation is set to automatic. It does not create remittances.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Stripe to use Finance?
No. Without Stripe you collect by SEPA direct debit, transfer, Bizum, cash or an external card terminal and record each payment.
Which account does the Stripe money go to?
The club's own Stripe account, connected in Settings.
Does Badgie send the SEPA file to the bank?
No: Badgie generates the file and you upload it to your bank. You upload the returns afterwards under Bank returns.
Can I edit an invoice that has been issued?
You correct it with a corrective invoice (by replacement or by difference); the original is kept.
