Quick answer
«Record your swing» is the AI swing analysis in the Badgie Golf app: the player records their swing or uploads a video from their camera roll and, within 1-2 minutes, gets the key moments, the faults detected with a priority, their tempo and recommended drills. The coach can run the same analysis on a student's video.
In this guide
What the player gets
- Detected view: whether the video was shot face-on or down the line.
- Key moments of the swing, each with its frame.
- Technical faults: up to 18 fault types, each with its confidence level, and one priority: the first thing worth working on.
- Tempo: the ratio between backswing and downswing.
- Recommended drills for the priority fault.
- A polaroid of the analysis to share.
When Badgie can measure the body in the video, the analysis adds an overlaid skeleton and six moments (address, takeaway, top, impact, extension and finish). That measurement is not always available; when it cannot be done, the analysis carries on with the visual reading alone and shows four moments.
Step by step
- Open the Badgie Golf app and go to «Record your swing».
- Choose the view and your hand: the app shows a framing guide to place your phone. You can also upload a video you already have in your camera roll.

- Record a short swing (between 1.5 and 20 seconds) and send it. Keep the app open while it uploads.
- You can leave while it is analysed: the app lets you know when the analysis is ready, usually in one or two minutes.
- Review the priority, the moments and the drills, and share the result if you like.
For the coach and the club
From the coach app, the coach runs the same AI engine on a student's video, from a video analysis or from the student's folder, and sees the result in read-only mode. Badgie's AI agent can also propose analysing a student's swing (analyze_golf_swing) and look up their previous analyses; like any agent action, the proposal waits for your approval.
Sharing and Morris
When you share an analysis, Badgie creates a public link that never expires. Whoever opens it sees, with no app or account, the video with the analysis, the priority and each moment. In addition, Morris, the Badgie Golf caddie on WhatsApp, checks the player's swing analyses before giving an opinion on their technique.
How many analyses you can run
Players who use Badgie Golf on their own get a number of free analyses each month, and the Badgie Golf Pro subscription removes that cap. Club students do not need Pro: their school already gives them access, with a generous monthly cap per student.
Where it is available

- Coach app: run the analysis on a student's video.
- AI agent (Badgie Agentic): propose and look up analyses.
- Public page: the shared link of the analysis.

Frequently asked questions
What kind of video works?
A video of a single swing, between 1.5 and 20 seconds long, shot face-on or down the line and following the app's framing guide.
Does the skeleton always appear on the video?
No. The skeleton appears when Badgie can measure the body in that video. If not, you still get the vision-based analysis, with four key moments.
Does it replace the coach?
No. It gives a first, organised reading and a priority; the coach can run the analysis on their student's video and work from there.
Does the shared link expire?
No. The public link of the analysis never expires and opens with no app or account.
