Ski school in Badgie: courses, groups and badge progression
How a ski and snowboard school runs its season in Badgie: weekend courses by level, the progression from the first day on snow to red runs with badges, each child's album and what the family receives.

Quick answer
In Badgie a ski school organises its season in courses (groups by level and age with their weekly class in the Calendar), measures progress with two badge collections —ski and snowboard, from the first day on snow to red runs— and every badge the instructor grants reaches the family with an in-app notice and a WhatsApp message. Each child has an album showing what they have and what is still to come.

Where to find it
- DASHBOARD › Calendar: the season's courses by week or month, with their instructors and students.
- COMMUNITY › Students: each child's profile, group, fee, family and badges.
- ACADEMY › Badges: tabs Badge Matrix, Collections, Bulk Sending, Badge Studio and Pathway.
- FINANCE › Finance › Plans: the fee of each course and the season enrolment.
- SALES & RENTAL › Rental: rental equipment, when the school switches the module on (see the «Equipment rental» guide).
Courses and groups of the season
Each course is a group with its colour, level and age band (for example Little ones on snow aged 4 to 6, Beginners 7 to 10, Improvers, Snowboard or the Race Team) and a weekly class that repeats until the end of the season.
- Open Calendar and click Create event to create the course's class: day, time, meeting point, instructors and students.
- Choose weekly repetition (for example every Saturday from December to March); Badgie creates every session at once.
- The week view shows the weekend courses side by side, and the filter on the right shows a single course, instructor or meeting point.

Pre-season fits too: a dryland training group in the gym on weekdays, with attendance, for the race team and the upper levels.
The progression: ski and snowboard collections
Progress is built with badge collections ordered by level. The demo school uses two ten-step collections, in the order a child learns: Ski progression (First day on snow, Snowplough, First chairlift, Green runs, Linked turns, Blue runs, Parallel, No poles, First jump, Red runs) and Snowboard progression (from First day on a board and Standing up to heel-side and toe-side slides, the falling leaf, turns and the First grab).
- Each badge has a description, a rarity (common, rare, epic, legendary) and the skills that unlock it, which the instructor sees before granting it.
- Collections are created and ordered in Collections; the artwork is designed in Badge Studio.
- PDF prints the collection sheet; Album and Stickers generate the album and the stickers with the school's look.
Granting badges from the dashboard
The Badge Matrix crosses students and the badges of a collection: each row is a child with a progress bar, and each empty cell is a badge not yet earned. As the screen says: «Tap the empty cells to grant badges in bulk and send them all at once».
- In ACADEMY › Badges, pick the collection at the top left.
- Tap the cells of the children who have reached the step (you can select several at once).
- Review and send: the badge goes to the student's profile and the family is notified.
For a whole group after class there is Bulk Sending (course or calendar class, students, collection and badges). On the slopes, instructors grant it from the Badgie coach app or with Badgie Ski (see the «Badgie Ski app» guide).
The student profile and album
In Students, each child's profile shows the course, fee, family and siblings and, in the Badge tab, their badges grouped by collection with the percentage completed. Each collection has an Album button and each badge a share link.
From the profile menu, Generate Student Album downloads the child's lifetime album at the school: every collection, with the badges earned in colour.
Season fees
Each course has its fee plan in Finance › Plans (monthly, quarterly or yearly) and the season enrolment is a yearly plan. Badgie issues the receipts, collects them by direct debit, card or bank transfer and applies discounts such as the sibling discount.
One-off services —the season ski pass handled by the school, the Christmas camp or a private lesson— are charged as catalogue services.
What the family sees
When the instructor grants a badge, the family gets a notice in the Badgie app and, unless the school turns it off, a WhatsApp message with the link to the badge. In the app they see the child's collections with the missing slots, open each badge and share it.
By sport: ski and snowboard
- Ski: the classic school progression —snowplough, turns, parallel— with green, blue and red runs as milestones, and a race team training slalom and giant slalom.
- Snowboard: the steps named the way they are taught —heel side, toe side, falling leaf— in a separate collection, so the board instructor never has to scroll through the ski ones.
- Little ones: short groups in the snow garden with the first badges, the ones families love most.
With the AI agent
- «Who is furthest ahead in the Ski progression collection?» — the agent reads the collection matrix (get_collection_progress).
- «Give Blue runs to the whole beginners' course» — it prepares one grouped grant proposal (award_badge) that the school approves with one tap.
- «How many badges have we given this month?» — grant summary (get_badge_award_summary).
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my own badges instead of Badgie's?
Yes. Collections belong to the school: create them in Collections with their own name, order and artwork in Badge Studio.
What happens to children who come back next season?
Their badges stay on their profile and in their album; the new season only changes the course and the fee.
Does the family need to install anything?
Not to see the badge: the WhatsApp link opens in the browser. With the Badgie app they also see the whole album and the notifications.
Can I give the same badge to a whole group at once?
Yes, from the Badge Matrix (several cells at once), with Bulk Sending or by asking the agent.
