Golf tournaments and course outings in Badgie: registration, groups, standings and series
How to organize your school's course outings and the club's tournaments in Badgie: call-ups, groups and tee times, registration with payment, categories, standings, tiebreak, diplomas and series.

Quick answer
Badgie organizes two different things in Golf tournaments: the school's course outings (you call up a group, each student answers whether they play for handicap, practice or are not going, and Badgie builds the groups and tee times) and the club's tournaments, with registration and payment, categories, tee groups, scoring, standings, tiebreak and diplomas. Series add up several events into one overall standings.
In this guide
Where to find it
- Web: Golf → Golf tournaments (/dashboard/golf-tournaments), with the tabs Outings, Tournaments and Series.
- Students and families: they receive the call-up and answer from the school app.
Course outings
- Click New outing, then choose the group, course, date and answer deadline.
- Call it up: students get the notice and answer For handicap, Practice or Not going before the deadline.
- While the choice is open, follow the Answers and use Remind to nudge those who haven't replied; Close choice closes it before the deadline.
- Click Propose groups (choosing 2, 3 or 4 per group): those playing for handicap go out first, ordered by index, and each group gets its tee time. You can move players by hand or add a New group.
- Check the side panel: Counts for handicap shows whether enough players are playing for handicap (6 by default; with fewer, the round does not count) and Licence warns you who has no licence saved.
- Publish with Publish changes and share with WhatsApp, Copy the day's link or Excel.
Club tournaments
A tournament goes through Draft → Entries → Teams & groups → Live → Finished, and can be published as an official result.
- Click New tournament and set it up in Settings: course and format (individual, fourball, foursome, greensome or scramble; Stableford or medal), categories by sex, handicap or age, fees and information (prizes, local rules, committee notice).
- Choose how to collect payment: Online (Stripe), by card or Bizum, or At the club. While someone is paying online, their spot is held for 15 minutes.
- Open registration or use Call students to enter. It can also be open to outside players.
- Generate the tee groups, open the round and follow the scoring.
- Close and publish. In Standings filter by category, use Tiebreak (countback of the last 9, 6, 3 and 1 holes), generate the Winner diplomas and download the standings as PDF or Excel.
The Counts for handicap option means scorecards are signed (player and marker). Counts for the WAGR only shows the WAGR badge on the tournament page.

What students and families see
The call-up arrives in the school app, where they answer. Once the outing is published they get their sheet with their group and tee time, and in tournaments they see the standings on the public page.
With the AI agent
The Badgie agent looks up outings (get_golf_outings): who plays for handicap and who for practice, who hasn't answered, tee times and whether the outing counts for handicap. It also lists tournaments, entrants and winners (list_tournaments, list_tournament_enrollments, list_tournament_winners) and gives the public link to the standings (get_tournament_public_link).
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't an outing count for handicap?
Because fewer players than the set minimum (6 by default) are playing for handicap.
Can I collect the registration fee online?
Yes, with Stripe connected: card or Bizum. You can also collect at the club and mark it as paid.
Does the tiebreak change the standings by itself?
No. It shows you the countback so the committee can decide.
