Quick answer
Badgie brings a dojo's daily work into one panel: each discipline's groups with their recurring classes, the attendance of every session, belts and gradings, the fighters' public competition record in Martial Arts and the collection of fees, enrolment and grading charges in Finance. Families follow everything from the app.
In this guide
Where to find it
Classes and attendance: Dashboard → Calendar (/dashboard/events), with the Calendar and Attendance tabs.
Belts: Academy → Belts. Competition record: Academy → Martial Arts (/dashboard/martial-arts).
Payments: Finance (/dashboard/finance-v2), with Overview, Invoicing, Remittances, Payers and Plans.
Groups and recurring classes
Organise the dojo in groups by discipline and age (for example Karate Kids, Karate Juniors, Karate Competition, Judo Juniors and Judo Youth & Adults). Each group has its weekly class with days, time, mat, senseis and enrolled students, within the season; bank holidays are cancelled without deleting the series.
Gradings, open randori or tournaments are created as one-off events with their participants.
Attendance on the mat
The sensei takes the register from the app when class starts (present, absent and reason) and can rate behaviour. In the panel, Attendance shows every session with enrolled, present and percentage, the period summary and the week-by-week trend; Attendance matrix and Dropout risk help spot who stops coming.
Attendance is also a good criterion to propose candidates for the next grading.
Public competition record
Martial Arts lists students with a belt, their rank, their medals and whether their profile is published. With Add result you record each championship with Date, Category, Modality (kata, kumite, teams…) and Placement; the top three places show as medals.
The Published switch turns on the athlete's public profile: photo, discipline, belt, dojo, category, rank progression and record. Nothing is published on its own and it can be withdrawn at any time; if the athlete is a minor, publish only with the family's consent. View showcase opens the dojo's public list of athletes.
Fees, enrolment and grading charges
In Finance → Plans you set each group's monthly fee and the annual enrolment; one-off services (grading fees, sports licence, gi or private lessons) are charged separately. Each student is linked to whoever pays (usually a parent).
Overview shows what was collected, outstanding and overdue in the period by collection route (direct debit, transfer, card…), and Invoicing shows each month's receipts, issued or still to issue.
What the family sees
By discipline
Karate, judo, taekwondo and jiu-jitsu use the same building blocks; what changes is the belt ladder and the competition modalities (kata and kumite in karate, poomsae in taekwondo, gi and no-gi in jiu-jitsu). One dojo can run several disciplines at once.
With the AI agent
The agent answers with the dojo's data: a group's attendance, who has not come for weeks, outstanding receipts, belt distribution or the published record. It can also log a championship result; publishing or withdrawing an athlete's profile is always approved by a person from the dojo.
Frequently asked questions
Does Badgie work for a small dojo?
Yes: start with one group and one fee, and switch on belts, the competition record or finance when you need them.
Can I charge grading fees separately from the monthly fee?
Yes, as a one-off charge to the students who sit the grading.
Is a student's public profile published automatically?
No. It is published only when the dojo turns on the Published switch, and it can be withdrawn at any time.
Can I run karate and judo in the same dojo?
Yes: each discipline has its own groups and belt ladder.
