Record the match from the bench with the coach app (clock by halves, goals with assists, cards and substitutions), close the match sheet, and review or correct the match on the web, with the match report and the match sheet as PDFs.

Quick answer
The live match is run from the Badgie coach app, on a phone or tablet: clock by halves, score, goals with assists, cards, substitutions and opponent goals, with an undo option. At the end, Close sheet marks the match as played with each player's minutes. On the web, the club sees the score update with every goal, opens the match page, corrects the line-up and events by hand, and downloads the match sheet or the match report as a PDF.

Where to find it
- Coach app: the match screen with four tabs, Call up, Plan, Live and Sheet. It opens on the right one: Sheet if the match has been played, Live if it has started or kicks off in less than 30 minutes, Plan if the call-up is published, and Call up otherwise.
- Web: in each team's Competition tab (and in CANTERA › Competition), tapping the opponent opens the match page; the list icon opens Edit line-up and events.
- Web: in the calendar, the match also links to its match sheet and report.
Step by step in the coach app
- Open the match from Weekend matches on the home screen or from Your matches.
- In Plan, choose the formation and place the called-up players on the pitch; the rest stay on the bench. That eleven is saved as the line-up on the match sheet. If you go straight to Live without a plan, the app asks «Who starts?».
- Before kick-off, choose the Minutes per half (20, 25, 30, 35, 40 or 45). If you don't, the match length divided by two is used.
- Press Kick off. The clock keeps running even if you close the app.
- Record every action: Goal (with assist, Penalty, Own goal or No assist), Sub (who goes off and who comes on), Yellow, Red and + Their goal. The On the pitch and Bench lists update on their own.
- If you make a mistake, use Undo in the Match timeline.
- Mark Half time, Start 2nd half and Final.
- In Sheet, check the score, goals, cards and Minutes played, take the register if needed, and press Close sheet.
When the sheet is closed, the match is marked as played with that score, and everyone on the sheet (starters, bench and anyone who came on) is marked present at the match event in the calendar (if the match has one), unless someone had already marked them by hand. What was recorded feeds each player's statistics: matches, starts, minutes, goals, assists and cards.
Step by step on the web
The match page
Tap the opponent's name in the match list to open its page: score and half-time score, line-up, goals with assists, cards, substitutions and the match timeline, with the buttons for the match sheet and the report as PDFs.

Correcting the line-up and events
Each match's list icon (with the number of events) opens Events · opponent with four tabs: Overview, Squad, Incidents and Score. There you record or correct by hand who played, the goals (with «Goal zone» and «Header»), cards, substitutions and the score, and save with Save changes.
Match sheet and report as PDFs
- Match not yet played: Blank match sheet (PDF) with the players called up, to fill in by hand, and Match preview (PDF) with the call-up and the expected eleven.
- Match played: Completed sheet (PDF) with everything recorded, and Match report (PDF): score and half-time score; players with position, starter, on or off, minutes, goals, assists and cards; substitutions; and the starting eleven drawn on the pitch.
The reason a player wasn't called up never appears in any document. PDFs come out in the club's configured language: the demo account is set to English, which is why the screenshots show «Match report» and «Match preview».
What the club and families see
- The match score updates on the web with every goal recorded in the app.
- The match plan and the eleven are internal: only the coaching staff and club management see them, and they never appear in the call-up, notifications or chat before the match is played.
- Once the match is closed, each player sees their season figures (matches, minutes, goals, assists and cards) when they open the match in the app.

By format
- The Plan offers 7-a-side, 8-a-side and 11-a-side formations (see the match shapes guide).
- Minutes per half adapt to each age group, from 2 × 20 to 2 × 45.
- There is no extra time in the live match: if a match goes to extra time, correct it afterwards in the events window on the web.
With the AI agent
The agent doesn't run the live match. With `get_match_document` it returns the link to any match's PDF: the report or match sheet of a played match, and the preview or blank match sheet of one not yet played. It warns about what the document can't say, for example a line-up that wasn't recorded or substitutions without a minute. With `get_squad_matches` it summarises a team's results.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if the app closes during the match?
The clock keeps running even if you close the app; when you come back it's at the right minute.
What if the federation's match sheet arrives later?
The official match sheet takes precedence for the line-up, score, goals and cards; what only Badgie has, such as assists, notes and the plan, is kept. Once the official sheet is in, goals, substitutions and opponent goals can no longer be recorded live; you can only add context to each goal.
Can I run the match from the web?
The live match with a clock is in the app. On the web you record or correct the match afterwards, in the events window, or import the paper match sheet.
Can the agent write me a match report its own way?
No. The report is always generated from the match's recorded data. If data is missing, import the match sheet first and ask again.
